紅林親 (Chikashi Kurebayashi)

静岡を拠点に、普段使いの器や雑貨を作陶している。
毎日の食卓で自然と手に取ってもらえるような、使いやすく心地よいかたちを目指し、一つひとつ丁寧に作陶。
色や質感は様々だが、どの作品にも「手に取った人の暮らしが少しでも豊かになるように」という想いを込めている。
主にろくろ成形を用いて制作しているが、近年はたたら製法にも取り組み始め、新たなかたちを模索中。
陶芸を始めたのは2016年。「陶芸をやってみたい」という思いから、市内の陶芸教室に通い始めたのがきっかけだった。それ以来、土と向き合う時間が増え、自身の生活の軸となっている。
使うたびに心がふわっとゆるむような、そんな器を届けたいと考えている。

Based in Shizuoka, I create everyday pottery and household goods.
I aim to craft shapes that are comfortable and easy to use, naturally inviting people to pick them up at the dining table, carefully making each piece by hand.
While the colors and textures vary, every work carries the intention of “enriching the life of whoever holds it, even just a little.”

I primarily use the wheel-throwing technique, but in recent years I’ve also begun experimenting with slab construction, exploring new forms.
I started pottery in 2016, inspired by a simple desire to “try making pottery,” and began attending a local ceramics class. Since then, the time I spend with clay has increased, becoming a central part of my daily life.

I hope to create pieces that bring a gentle sense of ease and warmth each time they are used.
